Is the stand your ground law a disaster waiting to happen---again and again?

Is a store owner standing his ground when he shoots an unarmed but physically bigger, stronger burglar? Is the winner of a streetfight or a barfight always going to be wrong just for winning? If you rush in and grab a parking space I have obviously been waiting for, can I shoot you? Was Zimmerman standing his ground by driving around with a loaded gun looking for Martin?

Update:

I asked about the law in general. The Zimmerman case is just a current somewhat relevant example.

Update 2:

"Trayvon tried to make George Zimmerman's head part of the sidewalk."

Where are the hospital bills or the doctor's report. Why didn't the police notice Zimmerman's wounds?

I feel that the 'stand your ground' should be repealed where it is currently in force. The self defense law should remain. Since the SYG law has been extended out of your domain (castle) where you have a right to be to the general public places (where everybody has a right to be) it is more than just a disaster waiting to happen. It will happen more and more and become totally out of control.

This was NOT a "stand your ground" case.

It was a basic self-defense case. Trayvon confronted.

    Trayvon attacked.

Trayvon tried to make George Zimmerman's head part of the sidewalk.

He picked an armed person. Well, life is not a video game. Trayvon does not get another life. Confine your thuggery to other thugs. Some of the decent upstnding citizens, whose head you try to bash into the sidewalk have concealed carry permits.

    Edit:

    They did notice his wounds.

Unbelievable. How many times does your head need to whack the concrete befor you go unconscious? I don't know.

But, I do know this. If someone much stronger than me has me in a "ground and pound" position, I would not allow more than one head-slam before using ANY MEANS NECESSARY to get out of that position. And neither would anyone else with a will to live.
