Have any of you ever owned an American Girl doll?

Hahaha, I had Kaya too! I loved my doll so much... Until I took her hair out of the braids and my mom yelled at me. I think I gave her to my younger sister after that, but then my sister was scared of the doll.

Yeah, I've had a lot of them in the past. Kaya or Kirsten, I forget which, was my first.

Yeah, when I was younger. I had the ivy (Chinese) doll. I really never played with her so I don't know why I wanted one. I still have her but her hair is all messed up and tangled.

I have Kirsten and one designed to look like me. I got them for Christmas in 1998. I didn't cut off their hair or ruin them. I really enjoyed them when I was younger.

I wanted one, but my mom always said we never deserved them or we weren't responsible. She denys ever saying that, but my mom was crazy when we were little, like almost abusive. I really wanted Felicity or Kirsten.

I had the Felicity doll, and I loved her, but the one I really wanted was Samantha! :)

I had one when I was younger but I cut its hair and made it into a boy by dressing it in clothes my stepsister made.

Yes I did :) I ******* loved her! I also got her a little pajama outfit I loved her :) then I cut her hair and ruined her :(
