What do you think of this?

If you read the whole thing (or more the parts that really matter) you would have seen that the former Iranian President, said that Reagan had worked up a plane with Ayatollah Khomeini to prevent Jimmy Carter from being able to free the hostages

Update:

For the record. I put this in Elections because I think that this is the part of the Politics section that get the most people. and so thus I should get the most responses by putting it in here.

Update 2:

@ Rightstuff; So Carter took all that time, and ended up not getting anything done? Does that make more sense than: Reagan, who had already acted in extremely illegal ways selling guns to Iran, would have struck a deal with them. I mean he had already sold them weapons. As for the story: I heard this not just from this one particular source (this was just the best one I could find online), and so Abolhassan Bani-Sadr must have actually said that. And so why would he make it up? And Why only know?

Update 3:
Update 4:

@Bob: Finally! Someone with some Common sense on this bloody website!

That's 30-year-old news. It's too much of a coincidence. There's a reason why some called Reagan the "Teflon President." There were provably illegal things happening in the White House at the time - but they somehow didn't touch Reagan himself. Oliver North ended up with a radio show.

Let's put two and two together. Carter refused to negotiate with Iran.

Two weeks after Reagan was elected the hostages were freed and the (illegal) flow of arms to Iran began....There has never been a Republican that worked that fast in history!

a false story,,,,carter left the hostages there for over a year and then had a hairbrained plan that failed
