Lesbians, would you go out with a transgender Male-to-Female?
Lesbian women, when it comes to transgender females, do you find them attractive/could you like them? Do you see them as women, or are you only able to see them as male?

I was actually thinking about this a couple of days ago. I like to be all fluid and new age with my sexuality, but if I had to define it, I'm attracted to women with masculine qualities and that's really it. If I were to date an mtf transgender going through a transition, I really wouldn't quite see them as a woman, and I know that people hate to be seen as the gender they do not identify, but I wouldn't be able to help myself. Now, if the person in question were post-op and had all the physical aspects of a woman, I think that it's totally possible, but she just might not be my type. Mtfs tend to be very feminine and I'm more into a little dyke swag.
However, I could imagine dating an ftm transgender, but I don't think it'd be mutual. Again, I'd see that person as a female with very masculine qualities instead of a man on his way to physically matching to body he belongs in, and that's just unfair to him. I think what it really comes down to is that I would be willing to try, but I feel like the way I viewed them would offend the person in question and it wouldn't really be a happy relationship in the end.

I wouldn't. Someone's self-label doesn't affect what they really are... or my lack of physical attraction to them.
