I have wanted to make video games since I was a kid, I'm 17 now. In college I plan to study game design and computer science, but I want to get a head start on it now. I've done some youtube tutorials but I was wondering if there are any good free or cheap things out there to help me start learning. I'm open to books, courses, tutorials.

I have a good understanding of Java and Android programming.

I live about 20 minutes outside of nyc, so if there would be the best place to meet people thats fine. But I just have no idea where to go, in real life and online. I want to meet other people like me, my friends don't really understand. I want this for friendship, not for dating. Thanks ^.^

I'm transgender (MtF) and I was wondering, when I start hrt, what hair on my body will go away and what won't?

I'm in a confusing spot in my life, but I think i might be transgender (Male to Female). The thing is, i like certain things about my body. I am fast, strong, I can just really high, I can sing well. How would transitioning (and by that i mean taking hormones) affect this. I am also really into Ultimate Frisbee, would transitioning hurt my ability to play sports like that? (regardless of if I would even be allowed)

I have a text based java game, its only a single class. How do i run it in terminal, instead of on eclipse (the program im using)

so I am creating a fairly simple text based game in java (like zork) and I want the player to have an inventory so they can pick up objects and in certain places use them, as well as being able to view the inventory and drop objects in random places. I'm kinda new to java so im not sure how I could do this

btw my main code is just a switch that calls on different methods for the different rooms

ok, so I'm writing a text based game and I have points in which the user has to input data (duh). It's really lengthy to create a switch so I did this:

room = 2;

}

except, it only ends up doing room=2 if I input "north". nothing else works. Any advice?

I like this girl a lot, and she likes me but we live far away so we rarely see each other, but we text a lot.
