Don't you find it pathetic to give someone a thumbs down because they have a different view than you?

I find it rather funny people are so offended by what someone else posted on yahoo answers they need to give them a thumbs down. What are we 3 years old or something lol

    I think it's sad.

I am trying to share something extraoridinary I found. All humans on earth must use

the Violet-Flame to rise from the dead and become Immortal.

The Violet-Flame is the same energy that appeared to Moses,

and gave the disciples their powers.

I'm trying to not sound like a fanatic,

but it is the key to eliminating war, poverty, suffering etc.

Instead of arguing, people should do their own research and draw your own conclusion.

Some people do deserve it because their answers are so ridiculous but others just want to voice an opinion. Many people give a thumbs down because they think it's some kind of popularity contest. Also if a person gets enough thumbs down their answer does not show. The thumbs up or down has little purpose in my opinion. Wonder how many I will get.

i try not to give thumbs down just because someone disagrees with me. its a matter of what they say, how they say it, and how rude they are. all insults gets a thumbs down. all non answers get a thumbs down, if the question is asking for an opinion i generally dont thumbs down.

In all the years I have been playing on here, I probably only gave three thumb downs. And for what people say, such as their nasty remarks and foul mouth, not for what they remarked.

In other words, when someone calls down someone else, calls them names, and disrespects them, then I might thumb them down. But as for answers, I feel people all have opinions, and so why thumb them.?

IF different then yours, okay, fine. Allow it. And also, stop BLOCKING others, sometimes I spend time writing an answer, only to find that it has been blocked.

Please, allow them to ask what they want, let Freedom work. If anyone does not like the question, simply get out and go to another one.

Yes, it is pathetic for people to thumbs down just because their view point is different.

I only thumb down giant walls of text--I HATE those *******!--or particularly hurtful answers to Askers who seem to be in distress. The rest of the time, I thumb everybody up, and particularly people in danger of their answers being hidden due to low rating, whether I agree with them or not.

It's not offense that makes me down thumb people... it's the potential to see them react sourly.

I imagine you silly Christians, getting so upset at all the down thumbs, you're so mad that your face turns red, you growl, foam at the mouth, and stomp your feet into the floor in pure childish rage.

    It makes me giggle.

  • Yes. The people who created the thumbs-down feature are probably sadists just like the people who are petty enough to use it.

How do you know that's why they give you thumbs down? Is that the reason they gave you or are you just being completely dishonest?...

I find it pathetic when people are offended by thumbs-downs. The fact that Catholics may give me 30 thumbs-down on and no thumbs-up does not mean that I am wrong when I explain how the Catholic religion is truly a pagan, sun-worshipping religion. It remains a fact if I get ten thousand TDs and no TUs.

No, my goal is usually to get as many thumbs downs as possible.
