My dog is still sick. please help!?
My puppy had bloody stool and vomiting for about a 24 hour period last week. The next morning we took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with parvo. They kept her for 3 days on an IV and whatever else. They called and said she was doing better and to come get her. We paid them $500 and went on our way. She still was lethargic with vomiting but we figured they knew more than us so we left. In the 2 days we have had her back home, she is still vomiting foam, she wont eat the canned food they sent home, and she just lays on the couch all day. She wont drink water and we are just worried about her. I need advice because I cant afford to take her to another vet.

Parvo is highly contagious. It could be that there was still traces of the virus on his bowl or in his feces out in the backyard - he might have sniffed it and caught the virus again. I don't really have great knowledge about these things so I can't be sure :(
But if she was on an IV then she will most likely be okay. Parvo is a serious infection but it is treated using IV antibiotics and they are very effective and it would be very irresponsible of the vets to just let her go if they weren't confident that she was going to be okay.
So it might be more likely that it is the antibiotics that have caused the vomiting. If humans can get nauseous from antibiotics I assume that dogs can too. Plus they would have been giving her a LOT of fluids through the IV as well so she may not be drinking water because she is simply not thirsty. Give it time and maybe call the vet if she seems to be getting more sick.
I do hope she's going to be alright :( there's nothing worse than worrying like this.
All the best & good luck! x

Mix your canned food with a little water and syringe it into her mouth. Syringe water also. You can buy a syringe in the baby department -- one that's for giving babies medications.
Call the vet in the morning and let them know she's vomiting. They can have you just come in for an injection of Cerenia, which should stop it. They can also send home a bag of fluids and needles and tubing so you can give fluids underneath the skin. A technician can show you how to do that.
Your pup probably was doing fine and now has had a relapse. It can happen. Parvo is a virus, so there's no cure -- only supportive care.
If your vet is affiliated with an emergency center, they may be able to help you at a reduced rate today.
It's hard to syringe food and water when a puppy continues to vomit. That is why it is imperative to stop the vomiting and replace the fluids.
