THIS IS THE SAME LAW THAT REQUIRED OF THE JEWS TO PAY TITHE, EAT PASSOVER (now called: Lord's Supper)?

AND IMMERSION IN WATER (called Water baptism) I BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW THIS:

Deuteronomy 14:8 -

8 And the SWINE, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, IT IS UNCLEAN UNTO YOU: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.

10 And whatsoever hath NOT FINS AND SCALES YE MAY NOT EAT; it is unclean unto you.

>>>>>

Now THAT law was ABOLISHED/BLOTTED OUT in the Messiah's DEATH on the cross (Eph.2:15, Col.2:14)

Now here is what that means for YOU, all of YOU!:

James 2:10

For (( ( WHOSOEVER ) )) SHALL KEEP THE WHOLE LAW, and yet OFFEND IN ONE POINT, he is GUILTY OF ALL.

And that means THIS:

If you will do the BAPTISM and the TITHING and the LORD SUPPERS, you are also OBLIGATED to do all the rest of it and you can't PICK which parts you think you like.

That means: No BLUE CRABS, no LOBSTER, CLAMS, STONE CRAB, SHRIMP, OXSTERS, CATFISH and NOOOOO!!! PORK CHOPS!!!

It makes sense to me. You just quoted scripture. I don't know why someone would be up set. You personally didn't tell anybody what to do. If they want to get made they better get mad at what the book says.

Tithe is an OT temple tax. Jesus fulfilled that law. The tithe was a requirement of the law in which all Israelites were to give 10 percent of everything they earned and grew to the Tabernacle/Temple (Leviticus 27:30; Numbers 18:26; Deuteronomy 14:24; 2 Chronicles 31:5).

Paul states that believers should set aside a portion of their income in order to support the church (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). Above all, all offerings should be given with pure motives and an attitude of worship to God and service to the body of Christ. “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7).

If you read the story about Ananias and Sapphira (Acts 5:1-11) you see how important it is we do not set the weight on the amount, but the heart and attitude. Peter very clearly tells them that the money was their to keep. About the widow that gave "two mites" (Mark 12:41-44), Jesus say: "this poor widow has put in more than all"

You write your own personal reasonings and conclusions, I see assumptions in what you write.

Jesus himself was immersed in water which we accept as a model to follow - for what other reason would Jesus do this? As John the Baptist noted - Jesus did not require this 'washing' which is a symbol of death and spiritual rebirth.

Jesus himself baptized with his disciples John 3:22 and John 4:1

Jesus initiated the routine of the memorial meal which we call 'the Lord's Supper' and Christian's have discovered special spiritual benefit in taking the bread and wine symbolically, but in faith for a special blessing in reverencing Christ's sacrificial suffering and death. And presumable that is why the term Holy Communion was coined and is commonly used by Christians today.

There is no obligation to tithe (no instruction to tithe in the NT) but Christians testify that after deciding to do so regularly they have found that their finances are blessed, sometimes in unusual and even miraculous ways

    You are mixing covenants.

Jesus' death ended the old, and instituted the new, as both are defined as being covenants and testaments.

James, in James chapter 2, uses the old covenant law to explain how the New Covenant law of faith and love works; show partiality regarding even one person, and you have violated love, even as one was guilty regarding the old covenant should they fail to comply with even one point of law.

There is no command in the NT for Christians to tithe. There is no "command" for them to do or participate in the "Lord's Supper" and the command regarding baptism is worded in such a way as to make it easy for people to draw the wrong conclusion. Baptism into the Holy Spirit occurs when one hears, understands, and believes the gospel message, which the apostles were "commanded" to preach. This command was in relation to baptizing people into the Father, Son, Holy Spirit AND NOT WATER.
