How do I get a second Job please help me?

I don't know how to say this but I work for best buy in retail n they don't give enough hours I need a second job but the thing I don't have a fixed schedule the call me like 3 days a week for like four hours it sucks idk is it because I am still a new hire but it's at least been a month i don't even know if this is going to continue or like its going to change as I keep working there.

But my question is when I do apply for a second job what do I tell the other employer

To work with my best buy schedule? I am sure they are not gonna like that ...I love working at best buy with computers it's something I wanna learn abt. No matter what quiting at best buy is not an option I wanna learn a whole lot of stuff there but again

Any ideas on how i shud word this problem to another employer?

Ask that Best Buy provide a regular schedule for your work time, and that you are willing to be flexible and respectful of their needs, but you have realistic need's as well.

If they fail to be reasonable about a regular job schedule, then tell them, that without a regular schedule your availability will depend on who first work's with you to come up with a practical and reasonable work schedule at either job.

So then go ahead and pursue a second job.

Be honest and open with both.

Make them compete for your hours.

Make it clear you are more than willing to work more hours, but that you need a stable schedule, and a stable set of hours.

Not having a fixed schedule is one of the slyest business moves employers make. Reason? They do it so you only work for THEM not go elsewhere.

I work as a dept head and lock my staff into set schedules. I do this because you rarely get "I need X day off because I have to go to the doc". People schedule their lives around work this way.

If you don't quit for a schedule that is locked, you'll be trapped in the cycle forever. It'll give them an excuse to fire you down the road for not being dedicated or flexible god forbid you start a new position or go back to school

Go for another job - that could end up being your first job and you can dump Best Buy. When you have two part-time occasional jobs though, you can't expect either to bend over backwards to accommodate the other. You're essentially dating two friends with benefits here. It's your problem to work out.
