Why is it impossible to have a mature conversation in R&S?

You can email me and we'll have a mature discussion of you like.

Its just a hot topic and most people believe they've figured out the mysteries of the universe and therefore are superior to those with differing opinions.

Its funny to me how mean some people can be when they converse via the internet rather than face to face. Its like all of a sudden the other person had no feelings.

This place is a terrifying abomination right out of a sociologist's darkest nightmares.

That said, I've noticed it varies based on time of day. Try getting here earlier. Maybe it'll only be *mostly* a Lovecraftian trollscape.

People on here think its entertaining to be complete idiots. No one is looking for a true answer. Their lives are miserable so why not make others feel the same way. Logical thinking? Not even an ounce of it.

If someone presents a question without any mocking or it sounding trollish, then I answer properly and I'm willing to continue to edit my post, to respond to any of the OP's edits toward me.

If someone is trollish then I do not take the question seriously and I do not waste my time on it.

Because this isn't a forum for conversations; it's a forum for asking and answering questions.

It's NOT that it's IMPOSSIBLE. It's just that it's not PROBABLE. The keyword is "mature". There aren't a lot of "mature" people on R&S.

Your troll filter must be clogged then..

I find it pretty easy to weed out the trolls, and disregard them..

You can show a mature approach!
