You can google their nickname along with the phrase "yahoo answers" to find possible links to their profiles to see if they are still active. But many users change names as time goes by.
If you remember a specific question they asked or answered, you can do a search of Yahoo Answers for that and see if you can find them that way.
If they were active in a particular section and you would recognize their writing style, go hang out in that category and see if you can find them again.
