Should I take biotin pills?

My hair is medium length, but i want it to be longer, thicker and healthier. Could someone give me the cons of this before i take them?

The only con I can think of is that it takes time to work because hair grows very slowly (one inch every few months) so it can be frustrating if you want fast results. Aside from that, there aren't really cons as it's a water-soluble nutrient so your body will excrete the excess of what it can't use. However, it sounds like you've heard the common misunderstanding about Biotin... it won't make your hair grow faster or thicker necessarily, but it will help it to grow healthy. If you were deficient in Biotin (or one of the other nutrients for hair health), then your hair may grow slower or thinner and that's when it can make it grow faster or thicker, but that's because it's covering a deficiency, not because that's what it does for everyone.

With that being said, it's cheap enough and it will definitely help the health of your hair so I'd say to give it a try. I've seen it most places where you can get several month's supply for $5-10 so it won't cost much to try. Good luck and I hope I helped!

I started taking biotin a week ago and it works really well! My friend has been taking it for a while and her hair grows really fast. The only bad thing is the hair on my legs grows really fast too! At least I know it's working!
