How to become happy and maintain happiness? Is there a way?

    No one in the modern world knows the science of happiness. The only people who have known it are dead or unknown. The science of happiness is not yet common knowledge, it remains unknown to the masses.

    99.9% of people are unhappy. An ignorant person can reach a certain level of contentment, but there will be small anxieties, sometimes big anxieties. The only way to be really happy, totally free from any burden, living life intensely, overwhelmed by each moment, is to thoroughly understand the mechanism of happiness.

    You are unhappy because you go on avoiding bad feelings. So those feelings build up inside you. Boredom, sadness, fear. The only way to get rid of those feelings is to stop escaping from those feelings. The body will go through a natural digestive process and the feelings will be gone.

    Psychologists and psychiatrists are unaware of this; they are milking people for as much money as they can. No psychologist or psychiatrist has ever made anybody happy. They make more money if the person stays sick. Psychiatric drugs only delay the digestive process of feelings by making you numb, unable to feel.

    There is no greater misery than to be in constant fight with yourself. After that, the next painful thing is to be in constant fight with anything else. There is tremendous pressure, fear, that if you fail, everything is lost, and you have to struggle. So it's best to just float with the current. Not even swimming, just floating. Fighting with the current is stupid.

    Anything painful that happens to you will give you a chance to confront your bad feelings, your dissatisfation. The more you feel them, the more they will be digested. Then you aren't stuck in your head always thinking about your problems. Them you can be herenow, living intensely, enjoying whatever the moment brings.

    So don't be bothered about painful things. Just remain natural, relaxed, spontaneous.

    When all the bad feelings have been digested, you will feel fulfilled beyond your ability to imagine. This is because they are always avoided through some kind of addiction: you are addicted to entertainment, so you can only have fun if you're entertained. If you're not addicted, you can have fun no matter what is going on. Being addicted to nothing, you can be constantly high, with no cause to being high.

    Flashy colors make your eyes bored with regular scenes. Lots of activity makes you bored with inactivity. Good flavors make you bored with food.

    zdarova OLGA! happiness like unhappiness belong to the same family of distortion. when we are happy it is because of some superficial fact, for example, when you like your body. But your body grows old and then that which made you happy makes you unhappy. So you see unhappiness and happiness are kind of in the same boat.

    The best place to be mentally is contentment. Neither happy nor unhappy. Be in the now and contentment will come.

    You have a long way to go based on your question and this is a very deep subject but remember that happiness is just as bad as unhappiness.

    Hmmm i think when you worry less about life and all the chaos it can bring, if you surround yourself with loyal happy positive people, if you do what you enjoy, if you take time to just relax and chill you can be very happy. Positive thinking leads to a happier life. There are things we cant really change bills, needy children, broken relationships,work all these things are part of life and sometimes we cannot change them but on the other you can definatly take control of what makes you happy regardless of all the crap that might pull you back.

    We have to learn to be happy with small blessings in our lives instead of waiting for a big event to call it happiness. Every little things concerned with our living is a source of happiness. that's is the way to maintain perpetual happiness.

    If you're looking for a way to find happiness, grab it, and never let it go, then you'll be looking for the rest of your life. I guess overall you can be happy, like if you take care of yourself, have a good job and have loved ones around. But life is all about experiencing pitfalls. The key is to just not let them get the best of you.
