Christians: Explain this trickery in Genesis, please?

a) The sun was created on the 4th day, however light existed on the 1st day, before any object that could give off light was created. How is this possible?

b) Your god separated the light from the darkness and produced the day and night cycle. How can He do this when Earth hasn't been created, and when different planets have different time periods?

c) A full day for a planet is when it completes a full rotation on its axis. How can the day and night cycle exist when no planets existed before the cycle was created?

d) How can vegetation exist before the sun?

e) Why doesn't the Bible account for the other planets in existence, and only refer to things that were known to exist at that time period?

f) Why doesn't the Bible account for evolutionary development, as evolution has been scientifically been proven to be true?

Update:

In addition to c, why is only one day/night cycle accounted for? Why not the day/night cycle for Jupiter or Alpha Centauri BB?

Update 2:

Benoni - Exactly. Why was there light when there wasn't a sun?

That was a total deflection. I've presented you logical problems. Whether or not Earth was a finished product, it's still impossible to create a day/night cycle. And this refers to a static day/night cycle, one that would only work with Earth. It's a different cycle on Jupiter.

Just because they weren't "finished products" doesn't mean that these aren't still issues.

And evolution doesn't just apply to humanity. Evolution has been observed numerous times. http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-speciation.htm...

Update 3:

Holliday - way to completely avoid answering my question.

Be Seeing You! - these are still logical errors. It refers to a day/night cycle before the creation of a sun, and it implies that the day/night cycle was static throughout the entire universe, which is obviously false.

Update 4:

Creation Detective - then why isn't this source of light mentioned and why isn't there any evidence suggesting that this source ever existed? Did your god maliciously destroy it to make sure we can't find evidence that he did it?

You avoided the question on question b. The universe doesn't have a static day/night cycle, and the day/night cycle only refers to bodies of mass in a system. A full day on Earth is different than a full day on Neptune. Genesis implies that this is static. Trickery.

There was no Earth on day one, therefore the Earth wasn't spinning on day one.

If the universe is called the heavens, then Neil Armstrong has been to heaven and back? The International Space Station is in heaven?

You again avoided the question on question f.

How do you know outside the Bible that a god is the creator? The Bible is the thing in question here, if you haven't noticed.

Update 5:

gordo_burns - You're an idiot. I'm shocked that I'm even replying to this. Read your Bible.

A theory in science is the highest point a hypothesis can get to. It is said to be the best explanation possible. Gravity is also considered a theory in science because it is the best possible explanation in light of evidence.

The Sun was created on Day 4. The Earth was created on Day 3. That's why there wasn't light on Earth, aside from that magically spontaneous source of light from nowhere.

"The earth according to Gen 1:2 excised with out any form That would refer to it being a gas. Which is what science says was the result of the big bang" Rewrite this sentence so it makes sense.

"verse 3-8 discusses the things that happened in the second creative period of time (not literal 24 hour day the word day here is used in the sense of a period of time eg "back in my day" refers to an unspecified period of time when I did ....)" False. It can be

You need to read the account carefully and in light of modern true science. Evolution is NOT a scientific fact. It is still a theory that scientist can not agree on. Do you homework.

Gen 1:1 indicates that the sun and stars and planets were in existence before God started preparing the earth for mankind

When you read through the account the earth had a thick layer of gas (water vapor) around it. This layer stopped the light of the sun from reaching the earth

The earth according to Gen 1:2 excised with out any form That would refer to it being a gas. Which is what science says was the result of the big bang

verse 3-8 discusses the things that happened in the second creative period of time (not literal 24 hour day the word day here is used in the sense of a period of time eg "back in my day" refers to an unspecified period of time when I did ....)

Verse 3-5 do not specifically say that the light , day and night, affected the earth or could be seen from the earth just that the process of those happening become established

6-8 shows the separation of the water vapor around the earth from the earth to allow the day and night process to be sen from the earth. As the thick layer of gas is moved away from the surface it becomes thinner and more transparent.

    verses 9-13

The third creative period sees the earth undergoing an upheaval as the sees dip and the land mass rises allowing for vegetation to appear

verse 14-19 a fourth creative period where the moon starts and sun could now be fully discernible from the earth

    20 -31

After there was vegetation there was now the start of food supply for an eco system

    A. There was light from another source.

B.God called the light "day" and the darkness "night"

    C.The earth was still rotating

    D. Plants can survive for 24 hours without sun without problem.

    E. The planets are referred to as the "heavenly bodies"and the universe was called the "heavens"

    F. Because the bible gives God the credit for creating the Universe. God said He is the Creator and He does not lie.

He is the Creator. Why question Him. We are just humans. And we should read the whole bible? in order to know what do numbers really mean

Because 1 day for God does not literally mean 1 day of man. And we can only understand those portions of the bible if we read it all. Coz just like a certain book, we cannot understand the story if only a part of it is read.

The problem is that you're looking at earth, the sun and the laws of physics as finished products when during their creation, they were not. You can start a puzzle any way you want and still end up with the finished product. So this is a little like asking " Hey , all you dumb Christians! Before the sun existed, why didn't it shine?"

BTW have they finally found a common ancestor of the ape and created a catalyst for alleged evolutionary process so we can watch it evolve into modern man with our own eyes? No? Then it isn't proven.

    Light was first.

Genesis 1:1-3 In the beggining God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth proved to be formed a waste and there was darkness upon the earth of the watery deep, and God's active force was moving to and fro over the surface of the waters. And God proceeded to say "let Light come to be".

Genisis 1:11 and God went to say "Let the earth cause grass to shoot forth the vegetation bearing seed"

God talked about the universe but he put us on earth where he created life.

A day to God is not a day to us. 1 day is about 1,000 years the fourth probably about 4 thousand years, because God is patient and he loves us he wanted the earth to be perfect.
