Keto or Atkins dieters ?
can anybody who has done either one for a long period of time with or without success weigh in on your thoughts? I've read the book , understand the science behind it. But I wanted to hear from real people , what if any long term effects do you have ? Did it work for you long term ? Any thoughts , advice or experience you would share will be appreciated.

i agree with James ..the Keto is incredible as it makes you feel great while losing a LOAD of fat weight t at the same time...i have been on a CKD (Cyclical Ketogenic Diet) for ages ..its got me right down to 5 - 6 % body fat while increasing my muscle mass enormously...

I've been on a low carb diet now for 16 months and I have no plans to stop.
I've been eating carbs at a level to put me in to ketosis. I've lost 24kg/54lb and have now plateaued.
I now generally follow a low carb, high fat, paleo diet. My latest blood work was perfect - especially for my cholesterol levels.
I thoroughly enjoy food now - especially that I can eat what I want without gaining weight. You should try eating food like carrots cooked in duck fat, or eating the skin on chicken or the crackling on a pork roast. Home made mayonnaise. Butter and garlic on steak. Oh, it's awesome!
