The US and British media are clearly taking sides in the Syrian and Egyptian conflicts.?

The media has a rather high opinion of its self. That is one of the main reasons that most people that I know are turning to online sources for hard news.

It seems that cable news channels spends its time making the news or having talking heads talk ad infinitum, ad nauseum about their opinions of the events. Those opinions may infer the taking of sides.

The national over the air networks are generally behind the curve. Print news sources are hours if not days behind the events and have become mostly full of advertisements.

Your question clearly highlights the MAKING of the news rather than REPORTING the news. You have identified the problem.

Your premise is false. The media hasn't taken sides.
