How to deal with trash nuisances?
People at my condo complex constantly leave trash in the courtyard including loose garbage and furniture. The management company will only pick it up once a week. I've complained to the property management company for years and called the city several times. I'm at my wits end.

The fire thing is good but can get out of control real fast.
Better idea, start telling your neighbors that you saw two huge rats out there at night and your afraid to go by it. If you tell enough of them they will all start seeing things moving in the shadows and then you can get them on your side to get on the management.
Usually, once someone sees rats, it does not take long for things to start hoppin!

Be silent for several months, then start a fire with the garbage. The management won't want their property burning down, they'll do something about it.
OR after starting a fire call their insurance and report the fire. When the management is threatened with an insurance rate increase - you better bet they'll start doing something about it.

Bad Management because in my Apt. complex you will get fines for leaving trash lying around.

If you know who it is, put a large notice on it with their name on it. This should shame them.
