Question: Why didn't the Egyptians simply leave Mubarak in power?

Seems to me they are going to get another pro western dictator only now they will have random suicide bombers and the ever popular car bombs. It don't make no sense, does it?

He was a dictator. He had Egyptian demonstrators murdered. Egypt was not a free country under Mubarak either. He made sure Egypt was not taken over by muslim extremists (which is a good thing). He pretty much kept peace there, but he still wasn't a very good person. He did not let the citizens have the freedom they deserved. I guess when Morsi said he would make things better, they believed him. I think they were desperate for change, and more freedom, so they voted for Morsi, hoping for a better life; however he had deceived the people by lying to get power over them. Once he became Egypt's leader his true colors came out. He was worse than Mubarak. He decided that he was going to make all the rules, and rule Egypt through strict Islam law (there is no freedom in that). He had people murdered also.

Egyptians were desperate. They voted on hope and change. This was the first time they were allowed to ALL vote. They had fought for democracy and won it.

Does some of this sound similar to the US? It does to me with Obama in charge.

Yes, the entire "ARAB SPRING" was baffling. When you factor in the fact that it happened in Oblahmas watch, and the entire middle east stability got toppled down one by one like dominoes, you could bnot help but watch it all unfold to see what was the grand plan.

AHA the grand plan was to remove the Sunnis from power and replace them with the extremists.

actually US Zionists helped to start the Arab spring

    - they wanted Mubarak out because he was kicking back and refusing to go to war with Iraq - they probably want Morsi so much because he has agreed to back US invasion of Iran and be a good neighbour to Israel

meanwhile the Egyptian people want their own modern democratic country without the interference of Zionists
