What do Pro Lifers think about this "Pro Life Rant"?
So I was reading on Facebook where a user basically went on a rant blaming Right to Lifers for the reason she was unable to find the morning after pill...Here's what she wrote:
"I'm so over these religious fundamental nuts who can't seem to get their noses out of everyone else's bedrooms & doctors offices. Thanks to people like these "Pro fetus" spreading their false "Life begins at conception" rhetoric many pharmacists have resorted to lying about carrying Plan B & other morning after pills which would prevent pregnancy & prevent someone from having to get an abortion which is what their idea goal is in the first place right? So now because of THEM it is very hard to also obtain birth control. So these pro fetus fundamentalists have not only made it remotely impossible to get an abortion now, but they are not working on making it difficult to obtain contraceptives in preventing pregnancy as well, so there's not a lot of options out there available to us women anymore. I guess women's best bet if they don't want to get pregnant would be to either get a hysterectomy or get her tubes tied or is it only a matter of time before the pro fetus nuts try & get that banned too? Because obviously these pro fetus wingnuts only think a woman should be having sex when she wants to get pregnant."
Judging from her statement, is it true that some pro lifers are also against the usage of birth control as well?

Some are, this is true.
Most are not. Most are in favor of responsible behavior BEFORE the risk of pregnancy.
Most are for responsible behavior AFTER pregnancy.
Abortion should not be a matter of convenience. If it is not convenient to become pregnant, then do not take the risk. There are options to greatly reduce the risk. Talk with a doctor. There are barrier methods as well as hormonal methods which are not permanent and are reasonably reliable when the directions are followed.
But I suppose it is too much to ask some men and some women to educate themselves BEFORE acting. Then they whine and complain about a pregnancy that is inconvenient.
Do you not see a difference?
It is time for people to grow up. Pregnancy is a natural result of sexual activity. There are ways to reduce the risk, but the risk is not eliminated. The only sure way to prevent pregnancy is to eliminate or damage organs or to eliminate risky behavior.
Sex is an adult activity with adult consequences. If you are not adult enough to accept the adult consequences of your adult actions, then you should not be having sex.

Wow - that is a rant, and not factually based at all.
Amazing that anyone would accuse pharmacists of not carrying medications - although I suppose it is within their rights under Wade v Roe to not do so. Wade v Roe stipulates that the State should not properly sanction a woman for seeking or obtaining an abortion - it does not compel doctors or pharmacists to assist in an abortion, and each is entitled under law to his/her own conscience vote on the issue. Their personal determination of when life begins is entirely their own in that context.
Simple answer - change pharmacists.
Footnote:- I was struck by the humanity of Man in Search when he mentioned that it could be unsafe for women to use some of these pills and that other options should be first priority.... jsut saying.
ADDS:- I think, like Pearl, any official policy of no contraception is absurd given the problems of overpopulation, poverty, and excessively large families, and also I recall certain instances of women dying due to lack of intervention during pregnancy. No God would stand by for that....and sometimes you have to make the best of bad choices....

Birth control prevents the fetus from growing at all. I have nothing wrong with it. I only have a problem with abortions because it is indeed murdering a child. If me punching a pregnant woman in the stomach would be murder, then there's no reason why abortion can't be.

I'm not aware that any pro-lifers are also against contraception like plan B. Maybe some super religious zealots.. but thats gonna be a small number of people.
I think that person is just ranting.

If I was her I'd be annoyed as well to be honest.
That's the last thing you want to do, waste time struggling to get plan B which SHOULD be available. The more time wasted, more likely pregnancy happens or that its too late to take it

This is the official stance of the Catholic Church, the use of any form of artificial birth control is a sin. That would include hysterectomy or tubal ligation which was not deemed medically necessary for the woman's health.

What number abortion is she on? Seems like the 5th one in every pack should be a cyanide capsule. Maybe its time she start taking some responsibility for her choices. I know we all want to play with fire and not get burned but it dosnt work that way. But i guess anyone stating that fire will burn you is keeping flame proof items off the shelves ...

I'm anti-abortion and I'm not religious. I think that contraceptives have pros on cons. They stop people from having more children than they can deal with, but at the same time they encourage promiscuity.
