Why are hyperlinks in Group posts still not working?
I read in the Resolved section that it was fixed. It doesn't work in my groups, for any of the members. Are they still working on it?
I have a Mac, so there s no "right click" option for me. Anyway, I thought it was Yahoo's job to fix it, not the group members.

Yahoo fixed something related to the Rich Text Editor creating broken links. They don't seem to recognize that the loss of links in plain-text messages is a separate and important problem.
Prior to this month (August 2013) it has always been possible to click URLs in plain text messages posted in groups Messages section. Yahoo's software would automatically detect and "linkify" the URLs, just as most email systems will -- even Yahoo Mail!
This affects messages composed in plain text posted in groups which do allow attachments (and HTML) as well as all messages in groups which exclude attachments (and HTML).

This problem has been highlighted in various guises now for several weeks. It would be interesting if Yahoo could make some comment about this on their blog?
Both forum moderators and their members are suffering because of the loss of this facility.
I know for a fact that affects other forums where I am a member so it would appear to be pretty widespread.
There are methods it seems to circumnavigate the problem - and they do work (in some cases) but they are time consuming and tricky to use.
Why cannot Yahoo return the facility as previously?

They still do not work. My main list is plain text and the links are not clickable. You 'can' highlight the link and right click on it in Opera (on a PC, I don't know about Mac) where you'll be given the option to "Go to the web address", but you're quite right. It is not up to the list members to fix Yahoo's screw ups.
So far, Yahoo has evinced zero interest in doing anything about it. And if, according to their banner on the Answers home page, Staff is Here to Help, you could fool me. Staff is conspicuously absent the vast majority of the time. I suggest you just highlight, copy and paste links in your browser until hell freezes over or Yahoo does something about this, whichever comes first.

Nor is there an option with Internet Explorer which is still relied upon by more than a handful of users.

There is a work around if you right click on the links and open them in a new tab, or new window.
