I feel bad when my parents buy me stuff.?
It's my birthday today, and my dad and my mom wants to take me out to get a new phone, and they don't have a lot of money the actually might have to rent it and make payments on it. I need a phone for school , but I told my mom that if they could not afford it I don't want them to get me anything, because they need money on more important things. My mom does not have a phone and it makes me feel bad , and I feel guilty. Me and my parents fight sometimes we don't have the perfect relationship , but I feel bad when they spend a lot of money on me, I don't like to be the center of attention, because It makes me feel weird. I just feel bad. I'm 14 by the way.

Then if you think you really don't need it, don't buy it! But at the same time if your parents offer you the oppertunity to buy it, go ahead.

You want and need a phone, right? Your parents are willing to pay, right? Then your okay! If your parents were that low on money, they wouldn't offer to buy you one in the first place. I suggest you let them buy you the phone and be grateful! There are some kids in this world that don't have enough money to feed themselves!!

That's good how you care about their needs(unlike lots of other teens -__-) but I think once they have enough money then they will buy you a phone but I'm very impressed on how your so concerned and caring!

Anyhow lessen your family cost. Make your mother understand that if you all spend that is waste of money. You should save some of the money for some bad days.
