is the sopa rumor true?

Have you been under a rock for the past 12 months or something lol. SOPA and PIPA where are big thing last year, but have since been dismissed and are unlikely to be reconsidered. This said, like most 'big things' on the internet, the fallacies and the panic often outweigh the truth. None of those things would have been illegal if SOPA had passed (tjere rae so many things wrong with that idea I dont even know where to begin).

The role of SOPA, or the 'Stop Online Piracy Act' was to promote links between international law enforcement agencies for the facilitation of stopping organized corporate piracy. Legal documents issued expressedly stated that individuals where not the target of the act, and the act itself did not make anything illegal that wasnt already illegal.

Lol SOPA already failed, so no it's not true. It could have been though.
