Can't feel my body while meditating, what's the science behind this?

So these past two nights I've been closing my eyes after/while I pray (catholic). I feel like I loose feeling of my hands touching my lap, my arms, my back when leaning against something. My words start to slow down and It's strangely peaceful. I feel really light like my physical self isn't there anymore. What does this mean?

Meditation relaxes all your muscles, but the position you put yourself in whether upside down or whatever locks you in place temporary, while your body goes to sleep. Not a problem usually, just like a trance, but restful for all your muscles. It also relives stress. Mike

You have become one with the Universe...

You feel no line of demarcation between yourself or the Universe

Feels absolutely Serene, Uplifting and Energizing when I do it.
