My cat is extremely violent towards my girlfriend?
so ive been with my girlfriend 2 years now and she stays at mine every fortnight only problem is my cat is extremely weird towards her... it used to be ok with her and sat on her lap one day and out of no where attackd her i told her off and she knew she done wrong but another time we was just sitting on the sofa watching a movie and my cat tried to jump for her again and started hissing .. now she just gives her really evil looks.. its weird because my cat isnt violent to anyone .. shes the softest cat and likes to play.. but with my girlfriend shes very different.. one min she will attack her, give her dirty looks.. then the next min she will sway herself against her legs ...my girlfriend used to love cats and now shes so terrified to even be in the same room as a cat... what do i do..

As another answer said check out some tips from My Cat from hell
Generally speaking the guy tends to advise that the main human (so you) lays off ALL duties (feeding, cleaning, playing) and makes the other human (your girlfriend) do it all so yuor cat sees her as a giver.
But obviously this wont work if you don't live together all the time.
When your girlfriend is with the cat have her feed the cat, check the water etc and buy some cat toys (mouse on string, laser pens etc) and then leave the room. Let your girlfriend have 20 minutes to play with the cat with the toys. Get the cat to really charge round the room trying to pounce on the toy etc. - it's great exercise for her, plays on her natural instincts but it'll also give them a chance to bond.
If your cat has sudden and unpredictable mood swings you may want to see a vet about some medication to calm her down a bit

There's a show called "My Cat From Hell" and there's an episode about a cat not liking this girls boyfriend. It's called "He Hates My Boyfriend". You should consider watching it because I'm pretty sure they are able to get the cat to stop and to be friendly towards the boyfriend. Maybe you can try some of the things that they do and see if it works.
