What types of probiotics do you take or eat for your health?

I eat yogurt and take acidophilis, just wondering what YOU do for yourself as far as probiotics etc. go

Update:

BUT WHICH BRAND[S] DO YOU TAKE? WHAT GOOD FOODS as in probiotics do you personaly have?

Update 2:

Wasn't yelling silly philly, just wanted my msg noticed by other ppl, so my question is properly answered. I was asking about BOTH.

Update 3:

I have read about all this stuff, merely wld like to hear kindly from others accordingly.

Update 4:

I wasn't asking about brands of yogurt lol, supplements ty.

yes you read abt that all the time; overuse of antibiotics. I had lyme 3x, so antibiotics were the only thing you can do for neuro lyme. it helped but still working on rebalancing my body, in which I have an A1 diet of a good balance, HOWEVER SUPPLEMENTS DO HELP ME TREMENDOUSLY

Authentic, traditional yogurt without added sugar or thickeners

    Store-bought milk kefir

    Homemade water kefir

Refrigerated sauerkraut and pickles by Bubbie's

    Kombucha

I feed my good bacteria by eating 4 generous servings of veggies and a small serving of fruit daily.

Phil is right. Folks lived quite healthily for centuries without probiotic pills.

Probiotics are in ANY fermented soured vegetable(think sauerkraut and pickles made the old fermentation way) and in yogurts and cheeses too.

Our guts grow them naturally too and have over 500 different types of natural good bacteria in there. The trick is to not kill them with over use of antibiotics. No need to seek out special foods or take pills.

I do eat a lot of yogurt because I like it, not because I am trying to take probiotics. I also drink Kefir and eat fermented style pickles and sauerkraut. my guts are just fine.

AND beware of special yogurts that offer special probiotics...dannon comes to mind. They simply renamed the active cultures that are normally in yogurt to make it sound like they came up with something new. research it.

The more natural the yogurt, the better it is but keep that in mind when you are looking at ingredient labels...

there is no way to give you brands of yogurt because different areas of the country offer different brands. What my store sells in Minnesota won't be the same as what a store in California might sell.

be vegan, eat healthy and therefore don't kill them. starve the bad bacteria and nourish the good ones. All the good strains, not just acidophillis bifidus.

please learn about gut flora and nutrition before you start yelling at people. No pills are needed. Fruits, vegetables, wholegrains, legumes, mushrooms etc feed the good ones in your gut and sugar, oils and fats feed the bad ones. It's all about maintaining BALANCE. Not taking pills.

None. I eat a pretty good diet and my digestive system works fine.

They're a new fad, pushed by marketing. Save yourself (or your mom) some money and buy real food with it.
