  • If you have your own support hotline,do u have access to exactly which #s call you?Or just the amount of calls?

There are a lot of hotlines out there for various things~you know support groups for weight loss, stop smoking, whatever. etc.

Some of these #s are not toll free however the person running the tele "meetings" can tell somehow, some way the amount of calls coming in. I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not those ppl leading the talk group know exactly which numbers did call in. Like how anonymous are these calls actually?

Apparently some ppl who called in did not participate and just "lurked" and the speaker got mad and piped up that he was going to disconnect all the callers who are not participating.

I, along with 3 other people spoke but have no idea how many ppl were on the line not saying anything or too shy to talk or whatever. (And HOW can he disconnect the silent callers then without knowing their # anyway? ....ALso how can he even do that in the 1st place?) BTW it was a spiritual self help tele workshop group. I've never heard anyone at a support group behave that way, lol

  • How to get rid of an itchy heat rash from over a month ago (what worked for u if you had this?

I walk miles per week on a regular basis.....I don't know perhaps 4x per week at 2-3 miles each walk?...ANywho, when it was blazin' hot outside, like 90 and way above w/humidity, suddenly I developed a heat rash that itches sometimes, on each side of the groin, lol. But nope not on private area or private parts whatsoever.

I keep applying 91% rubbing alchohol, then tea tree oil on it + calamine lotion. It stops the itching but the freaking thing will not go away! I wash it with regular soap-n-water then apply all the stuff mentioned above.

ANyone w/this eperience or an actual doctor who can recommend something to heal it safely and completely? THANKS☺

  • (India) Yes, folks in India, what types of probiotics do you take or eat for your health?

You know like here we eat yogurt and take acidophilis, just wondering what YOU do for yourself as far as probiotics etc. go

  • If you have tried several probiotics (supplements)*~which brand is your favorite and why?

I get refrigerated acidophilis and it seems the best one is one of the more expensive ones~and yes I eat yogurt, sour kraut, blah blah blah. But there's some kind on the shelf supposed to be good for your gut/intestines~very very pricey (forgot the name). WHICH one seems to work the best for you and how could you tell the difference in your experience?

  • If anyone here is allergic to aspartame, how does it affect you?

I have no vices in the world except chewing sugarless gum...unfortunately I have reason to believe I've developed an allergy to the junk, AAAAAAAhahahahah.

Maybe I'll go for the "curiously peppermints" instead w/almost no sugar in them whatsoever.

  • Have you ever known a family member who kept a terminal illness to themselves & how did you cope afterwards?

Just found out a family member of mine passed away a couple of wks ago due to leukemia. They chose to keep their illness to themselves and didn't go through any treatment. I only met them a couple of times, though it deeply saddens me as my mother was very close to this person growing up so grew up hearing abt their childhood stories. Also this person never even told their closest sister who is having a difficult time. I can understand it is their choice to keep it all a secret and refuse treatment, though see how there's a domino effect of heart ache and pain when someone chooses to just die alone? And without a wee bit of emotional or spiritual support from others? They only would have received love.

  • If someone implied over the phone that it seemed you had a drug problem (&you did) how wld you respond?

I have a relative addicted to drugs who acts like they hate me for trying to bring to their attention that their behavior changes drastically while under the influence. I only said a few short words out of concern now they won't even speak to me. Everyone in the family is concerned and have mentioned it to atleast one other family member that they've noticed this particular person most likely has a problem with drugs. I noticed they've even pushed drugs on others during family events. What saddens me is they seem completely unaware of how they actually behave when on these drugs and are extremely defensive. I worry about their well being because it seems worse every time I see them, which is for a short period every couple of yrs.

I don't know what I can do to help.
