Richard Nixon (would have been impeached; tried to subvert Constitution)
Warren Harding (corrupt but too stupid to see it)
U. S. Grant (great general; horrible president)
James Buchanan (made Civil War inevitable)
Franklin Pierce (a junior Buchanan)
Andrew Johnson (divisive, shrill)
Lyndon Johnson (very ambivalent about this; magnificent on social issues, horrible on international ones)
