Does the situation in Syria vindicate Bush for invading Iraq?
I hear all the complaints from liberals about Bush taking us into Iraq. People constantly complain because we did not find WMDs in Iraq. Many of these same people now claim that he lied just to make money off of the war.
Now members of the same party that want us to bomb Syria. (I, personally think we have no dog in this fight and oppose it.) They say that the government in Syria has nerve gas weapons that they got from Russia and Iraq.
So, since nerve gas weapons ARE classified as WMDs, and we KNOW Hussein used nerve gas on his own people, does this mean that they are admitting that Bush was right about WMDs being in Iraq? After all, they’re the ones saying that Hussein did supply the weapons to people in Syria.

The situations are completely different, the evidence Bush used was completely false, even after all these years. They didn't exist and weren't verified , even w/the US controlling Irag Bush couldn't prove the false info he provided to the UN and the rest of the world.
However after a few days, Russia offered to go in and secure the chemical weapons in Syria, so the evidence and Russia a Syrian Regime supporter verified they exist and were used. Even Assad has said the chemical weapons exist. The chemical weapons were used and verified by multiple sources.
To say there is a comparison, is pure fiction.

Why would it vindicate Bush? Um, WMD's are known to be in Syria because they were used about a week ago. Bush invaded a country that used them 20 years prior and had no evidence they still had them..Not even remotely the same thing

Expecting logic and consistency from The Left is a futile effort; it will not be found.

Bush doesn't need vindicating. Congress approved Iraq. Obama has bombed countries without even bothering to ask Congress.
