I have a question for Pro Lifers?
Okay, so many of you seem to have made it a point to go picket at abortion clinics...I've got to ask, how many of you actually STEP IN & intervene when you see a young girl who may have been forced into getting an abortion? I'll briefly explain why I'm pro choice & why I respectfully disagree with your P.O.V. because why do you think it's important to force women to be pregnant with babies they may not want? Say Roe Vs. Wade ends up being overturned & if a woman gets pregnant tough luck, who's going to be there to save the babies when women start birthing them & leaving them in dumpsters & toilets? Yeah I know that kind of thing happens already & there was just a case in Pennsylvania where a woman gave birth to a baby boy, suffocated him, left him in a plastic bag & went back to watching a game or something like that, but will any of you be there to protect the babies then? I respect all right to lifers beliefs however I disagree with your stance because babies should only be born to people who want them & women should be pregnant because they WANT to be pregnant...They should enjoy everything from the sicknesses lol to the jabs in to the rib cage up until birth..No one should be FORCED to remain pregnant based off of someone else's religious or moral ideas. It's just my opinion, not attacking anyone. But yes so my question to the Lifers are, you're against abortion...Have you ever intervened where someone looks as if they were being forced?

I am pro-life except in case of rape.
1- if sex is Not forced then why don't women deal with the "problem" instead of avoiding responsibility. Why sleep with someone without protection and then cry "it's my body,my right". What about the right of the fetus in your body!..no one is forcing them to get pregnant. They decided...
2- If there was no technological advances, then abortion rate would be zero to none. It's the natural way of life...abortion was only a problem to discuss in modern society
3-There is always the option of giving the baby away after being born...or is that too much responsibility that few dare to take for 9 months and choose the easier way out ?
@ Thomas: wow thank you for letting me know that as a pro-lifer I'm a cold hearted ***** that doesn't value "actual living people" How ironic!

If the protesters enter the abortion clinic and try to intervene, they are usually removed from the premises. Often by force.
Also, the argument that IF abortions were restricted there would be a rash of babies being thrown in dumpsters is beyond absurd. But if it's true, that means women are inherently demented and evil. You don't believe that do you?
The issue of abortion is simple for me.
You want one? YOU pay for it. Leave my tax dollars out of this.

I've had people intervene in my behalf but what good would it have done them when my old lady was breathing down all of our backs; you might as well say she personally strapped me to the table and performed the abortion herself. She was calling every five minutes "you gave me your word", "you gave your word."
Thomas: I belong to a religion and so help me God were I pregnant with you I'd have personally shoved my hand up and yanked your sorry hide out. I'd make an exception for *you*.

I'm pro choice like you simply because of the case of sexual assault. I find it funny that the high court is still trying to legislate a woman's body when the reasons they made abortions illegal are what you mentioned with womwn tossing kids in dumpsters and such. Most things in life are a choice.

It is illegal to walk into a clinic and attempt to interfere with the procedures being performed.
I'm pro-choice, but it seems you don't have a real handle on the facts here. I'd be more inclined to be pro-life if these people actually cared about living human beings who actually were born, but most often, I've noticed these types very much begrudge social service programs, and if these "babies" were all to be born, we would absolutely have to take care for their welfare for many years. If they aren't wanted, they still have to exist after they're actually born, but nobody seems to want to deal with the reality of all that. Even if they were given up for adoption, there's family court, social workers, etc that would all have to watch over all this. We simply don't have the people or system in place to handle this, and that's the nitty gritty truth.
I love children. I would love to be a mother, but cannot, and that is my own burden to bear. I still don't advocate some kid being forced to carry a pregnancy to term just to satisfy my own dreams of motherhood. That's mighty selfish, if you ask me.

Don't want to sound like a broken record so I'll just say that I agree with everything May said.
I'll also add that, yes they are women who don't want their babies but there are also plenty of couples that are simply not capable of conceiving. I understand that there are many artificial ways to have babies with your own genetics, but in my stance I disapprove of those as well. I am saying this as someone who does want a baby in the future, and there is a good chance I may not be able to conceive.
Women know that conception is a risk if they sleep around, and they need to face the consequences of their irresponsible actions.

Very few women are raped every year, and fewer still get pregnant as a result. Probably less than 1% of women who have abortions are victims of rape.
Fact is, most women who have abortions are sleazy hos who can't keep their legs closed. They use abortion as a form of birth control, and it ain't right.

Maybe we should work to change people's views about the unborn and cultivate more respect for human life instead of calling them "parasites" or just another "choice".
The story you mentioned:

The most important thing that you should know about anti-choicers(pro-lifers) is that they value unborn fetuses more than actual, living people(unless they're rich, religious and conservative). That should answer all of your questions.
