Can you get pregnant on mirena?
I got my mirena a little over two years ago and hate it to all hell. I moved and don't have a new obgyn and for the last few days I've felt pregnant. I haven't felt this way on mirena at all since I got it but a few days ago I noticed I was urinating a lot more than usual and my breasts felt tender.
This is still happening, its been going on for almost a week now. I know mirena has hormones that trick your body into being pregnant and that some of these side effects are normal, but I haven't had them in the past two years and am really worried.
My old doc assured me I can't get pregnant but I still take precautions like condoms and what not.
Lately I have also been feeling a little sick and have had no appetite.
I took a pregnancy test but have not had a missed period and only had one, I usually take two just to be sure. You know, false negatives.
Could I be pregnant?

I had the Mirena for almost the full 5 years. I didn't experience any of those symptoms myself and unlike you never took any other precautions like condoms. I had a crazy first year on the Mirena where I would have some weird bleeding almost like spotting, that would occur for about an hour and then go away and come back the next day and then the next day, and so on for about a week. This happened maybe 3 or 4 times throughout the first year on the Mirena and then it didn't happen after that at all. I went to work one day after having the Mirena for about 2 years and wasn't feeling well and a coworker asked if I was pregnant. I immediately said, "No, I have the Mirena." and she looked at me like I was crazy. She told me a story about a friend of hers who had the Mirena and had gotten pregnant and that even though the doctors tell you it's almost impossible that it can actually happen. It's risky because they always want to remove the Mirena if you get pregnant which can cause a spontaneous miscarriage. I was kind of freaked out after hearing my friends story so I went home an Googled "pregnant on the Mirena" and found many different forums where women are talking about how they have become pregnant while on the Mirena. If you are concerned try and find an OBGYN soon to avoid any complications given that you are pregnant! Good Luck!

Yes, you can if the Mirena is moved or not placed right. You probably aren't pregnant if it isn't time for your period yet, but wait a few days and take an EPT test..
If you read up on the Mirena or any IUD, they have so many complications, just be safe and see your Dr to be sure.
