Why are so many people against tattoos?

Just because someone has them doesn't make them any different from those without. It's annoying to hear and see things like oh they have a tattoo, they're trash.

You know the funny thing about people with tattoos? They don't judge those who don't have them, in fact they don't care at all if you have one or not.

Do you know how many doctors are in this world that have tattoos? And they save lives.

I know I sound ignorant. I just don't care. And I don't understand what the problem with tattoos is.

Disliking a person for their tattoos is not reasonable. It is also wrong to judge a person's character based on tattoos. However, some tattoos are off-putting because of their violent, demonic or sexually explicit message. Many people are caught up in the craze and when youthful skin begins to loose its grip they will deeply regret the willfulness of youth.

There are those who without judgment look sadly at tattoos because they observe God's law to not disfigure the body. They see tattoos as showing disrespect for the human body of which God is the creator and which is meant to be used as a vehicle in which they are to worship Him. (Leviticus 19:28; Deuteronomy 14:1,2; Psalm 100:3; Romans 12:1,2)

My mother told me in the past (1900s) tattoos was used to symbolize a gang member or someone with power. Basically, to the general public at that time, people with tattoos = someone bad.

Sadly that viewpoint exists even till now, and don't show any ******* signs of dying down.

Because many people "look" at the world with their eyes shut. I hate calling people trash but trash was used so there many people out there that are, yeah, but they don't appear to have tattoos on them. I wouldn't take it personally, or get annoyed. There's no use. In reality, it doesn't matter what people think of you. What matters is what you think of yourself.

Getting a tattoo is saying you know exactly what you are going to like for the rest of your life. Is that true?

Why do you ask a question when you don't care what the answer is?

People are against tattoos because they were invented by savages specifically to scare people. Your skin, your hair, and your clothes are signboards to tell other people what kind of a person you are. If you shave your head or mark your skin or wear certain kinds of clothes, that is equivalent to slapping people in the face. Of course they object. What ever made you think they might not?

I can't speak for everyone, but it seems to me that a tattoo indicates a lack of respect for the only thing that each of us truly possesses and should-in my opinion-value..our lives...which are inseparable from our bodies.
