Is the Art Institute of Virginia Beach a good school?

I always wanted to go to this school so in 2010 I took a tour of the school and I liked it but the price scared me away and I am not looking to take out loans. I have an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design, so will the credits I already have transfer into this school? I looked at some reviews and mostly all of them was bad, the complaints was most of the time about financial aid and the students not getting the training and the help with job placement like they were promised. The major I'm looking at now is about $87,000 for a Bachelor's, what are your experiences/opinions for this school?

No. The Art Institute (all of them!) are for-profits that offer students over-priced and worthless "degrees."

If you got your associate's degree at a community college, your credits will transfer to a state university like Christopher Newport or Old Dominion, but not to a for-profit school like the Art Institute. Old Dominion has several art-related majors, including graphic design. If you live on campus, Old Dominion will cost you around $23,000/yr and you'll be done in two years, so it would be much cheaper than the Art Institute.
