How do you feel about being a SERVANT ANGEL to the Mormons?

According to the Mormon Doctrine section 132 :16-17

All people who have not obtained worthy LDS status, will end up being servant angles to the LDS “who are worthy of a far more, and an exceeding, and an eternal weight of glory.”

16 Therefore, when they are out of the world they neither marry nor are given in amarriage; but are appointed angels in bheaven, which angels are ministering cservants, to minister for those who are worthy of a far more, and an exceeding, and an eternal weight of glory.

17 For these angels did not abide my law; therefore, they cannot be enlarged, but remain separately and singly, without exaltation, in their saved condition, to all eternity; and from henceforth are not gods, but are aangels of God forever and ever.

Update:

@Flora – I don’t follow teachings of men, I believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God as he has told us and promised it to be with us forever. I don’t base what I believe on what seems like a better choice to me. Again I believe Gods word is the truth. Why do I care, because the LDS doctrine is not biblical and leads people to follow untruths, it distorts and perverts Jesus’ true word. LDS believe this: that they are to overcome personal weaknesses and the sins that come with that. No matter how hard you try you cannot practice you way to perfect. There is over 1500yrs of recorded history of man trying to do just that. Jsmith telling you that you’re a better spirit child than those before you is not TRUE.

The gospel of Jesus teaches the exact opposite: we cannot overcome sin that is why Jesus had to come

1 John 1:7-9 But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If w

Update 2:

@Publius – oh course, only through Jesus can we become perfect, what I said is, not on our own at all can we become perfect.

Romans 3:22-24 —that is, God’s righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ,[a] to all who believe, since there is no distinction. 23 For all have sinned and fall short of the[b] glory of God. 24 They are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

As for rewards those promised to you by Jsmith are different than what Jesus tells us,

1. “crown of righteousness” that “is laid up” for all of us who love and long for Christ’s “appearing.”

2. the “incorruptible crown” earned by the self-disciplined Christian (1 Corinthians 9:25)

3. the “crown of rejoicing” earned by the soul winning Christian (1 Thessalonians 2:19) “the crown of glory” earned by the exemplary pastor (1 Peter 5:4)

There are more crowns, but what will we do with these crowns??

Revelations 4:10 tells us :

10 the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on th

Update 3:

Revelations 4:10 tells us :

10 the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:

11 “You are worthy, O Lord,[a]

To receive glory and honor and power;

For You created all things,

And by Your will they exist[b] and were created.”

Psalms 149:4 For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation

Update 4:

@Elsie – One of the emerging reasons that people are leaving the church, is because they feel like they have been lied to through OMISSION (of teaching) of doctrine prior to them being baptized. What the church doesn’t do is give FULL DISCLOSURE of all doctrine and church past history. It is kind of like someone who buys a beautiful shiny car (on the outside), once purchased they look inside and realize there is no motor. The church in such a hurry to get people baptized, and feels they can tell converts “the rest of the story later”. I pointing out such doctrine isn’t in hate, regardless of what you think. I am not here to argue with you, but to bring awareness of such church doctrine since the church doesn’t think it necessary. If the church gave full disclosure of all doctrine and truthful history prior to baptism, there would be a lot less confusion and upset ex-mormons. People want all the information before making a decision. I have a friend that left the church over this

Update 5:

I have a friend that left the church over this exact doctrine, it wasn’t taught to her at all before she joined, after joining she was then told that she needed to get married to be eligible to the top tier of the celestial kingdom. She has never had any intentions of getting married. Jesus does not teach us anywhere in the Bible that you must be married to get a reward. The opposite of that is what he teaches (no need to be married to receive crowns). The church being up front with my friend would have saved her a lot of pain. Why doesn’t the church slow down on getting people baptized, offer a FULL disclosure of all doctrine present and past before allowing people to get baptized?

sound very mormon to me. You just have to obey ALL of those mormon laws or else.

Mormons beware. You might be told that you will end up in mormon heaven #1 "celestial kingdom" but might end up as a slave. Not a good deal. You must be a Very, very, very, good mormon for a chance to have your own planet. .

One thing is for sure, if you are Mexican like me, there is NO chance that I will get a good deal from the mormon God. I must be turned into a White person to get a good deal.

    book of mormon

"O my brethren, I fear that unless ye shall repent of your sins that their skins will be whiter than yours, when ye shall be brought with them before the throne of God. (Jacob 3:8).

And it came to pass that those Laminites who had united with the Nephites were numbered among the Nephites; And their curse was taken from them, and their skin became white like unto the Nephites; (3 Nephi 2: 14-15)

How do I feel about that? Opposed to what other Christians teach will be the fate of those who don't believe as they do it sounds like a pretty good deal. Hmm. endure the torment of burning in Hell for eternity, or become an angel of God? I would say this is a no brainer.

Additionally, Mormons believe that you will have your agency in the after life. Nobody is going to force you to be and angel.

And, if you don't believe what the Mormons teach, then why are you so offended by this teaching?

Angels are created beings, humans are a separate race of created beings. Humans will not morph into an angelic form nor will angels ever be human.

What you are describing within the Mormon doctrine is not scriptural. It was "revealed" to a man who used seer stones to receive divination's. Unconfirmed reports of angelic encounters to Joseph that gave a new gospel.

This is cultic and those that follow such a course will be judged for their false belief.

If you turn off the footnotes, you can copy and paste without the extra letters.

Any degree of glory, even that of God, is primarily service oriented. Do you think he just sits back and drinks Mai Tais all day? Service, as Jesus pointed out, blesses the giver and the receiver.

Mormons are some of the best people to work for, in my experience.

You don't understand that scripture at all.

Without an eternal marriage you can't have a spouse in heaven - however people who aren't Mormons and single people can have this done for them as well so that doesn't even apply as an absolute.

Nothing is said that should give you the idea that you'd be servant angels to us Mormons - that's an odd notion that I don't believe at all.

most christians beleive there is only one heaven and a hell. so they don't even think about this kind of stuff. so when i tell them that porn activity will keep everyone out of the first resurrection, i have to also tell them that THEY will not come forth in the rapture.

and think about this, its not that "THEY will serve mormons" it is that they will be lower degree "servants" for anyone who is judged worthy of the celestical glory in the resurrection.

i personally believe many do and would settle to be king or priest according to the level they are judged worthy to serve in. especially if the LDS revelations of joseph smith jr are "correct" and they were "wrong" as the revelation says Jesus does say they are "wrong".

personally, i believe the LDS new and everlasting covenant in the temple, is the only endowment men need to be able to come to celestial kingdom. however, i think there are many mormons that will not obtain such a degree of glory by their own inheritance alone.

Strange that Mormon theology teaches that angels will serve Mormons, while Christian theology teaches that angels serve God. Mormon theology puts man in God's place. If anything qualified as "scriptures, mingled with the philosophies of men", it is Mormonism.

It's clear to me that you are only asking this question in order to stir up contention, not over any higher feelings of love or concern for your fellow men being deceived by Mormons. Otherwise you would have clarified that this scripture is referring only to those members of the LDS Church who would make it to the Celestial kingdom without entering into eternal marriage. Instead you twisted it to sound like Mormons will be exalted and everyone else will be their servants. If my church is so erroneous, why stoop to twisting it's teachings to suit a sinister meaning?

Once you get tired of arguing with us, or get in over your head, you will then select as best answer, not the answer that best clarifies your question, but the answer that best reflects your own anger and hate.

Considering that you have rejected not only the baptismal covenant, but also the covenant of eternal marriage (see vs 4), you don't have to worry about being "forced" to be a ministering angel to those who will receive a higher level of exaltation in the Celestial Kingdom. Most likely, given your current attitude, it's most likely that you won't even make it to the Celestial Kingdom at all. Most likely you and all the other Christians answering will go to the second heaven which is described similarly to the one and only heaven that you believe in. But then you and the other former Mormons answering already know that.

What I would like for mormons to disclose is, what happens to those who "refuse" to become servants to the holier than thou exalted LDS in the sky?

Let's hear it, mormons! What happens to those folks with their "free agency" in full tilt? Do they go into the corner and sit there, thinking over their "rights" until they capitulate or do they go to "outer darkness" after a time? Or do they float around begging for change on intergalactic streetcorners?

    Come on! Dish!!

I'm already a servant of GOD's, by irrevocable and eternal contract. Can't touch me!
