Since y'all teach that very very very good mormons will become Gods and own their own planet. Kolob is the planet or star where the mormon god lives.

2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhy do Jehovah Witnesses run away from crucifixes?
No joke. I was at work one day and a JW approached me with his watchtower literature. I took it and I returned my view by giving him a free set of rosary beads. He was so uncomfortable and said, what is that? As I started explaining he ran away. Seemed he was terrified of the crucifix. I know many non-Catholics do not believe in the rosary but I have not seen any run away from rosary beads or a crucifix. But JWs do. Makes them seem like vampires or satanic. Of course, they do not believe that Jesus died on a cross but on a pole. Rejecting the cross. Don't seem Christian to me
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoMormons, If Romney buys out Folgers or Hills Brothers, will coffee be off the word of wisdom list?
I use to be Mormon and Coca-cola and Pepsi were on the do not take list of the word of wisdom. That makes sense because those sodas have caffeine and the word of wisdom is against caffeine.
But now the Mormons say that it is ok to drink Coca-Cola or Pepsi. A rich Mormon must own a large amount of stock in on of those soda companies.
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoQuestion of religious freedom?
Let's say that I belong to a religious cult that does not believe in prescription drugs or any kind of drugs for medication. Now let us say that my religion runs a school and we have employees; teachers, aids, etc. I run the school. Although many of my employees DO believe in prescription drugs and want coverage in their health insurance. My employees religions freedom and believes are that they should use medication to insure health and welfare. However, I site that it is my religious freedom NOT to provide employees with prescription drugs. I can care less about the religious freedom of my employees.
Question:
Is it right for me and my school to deny prescription drug coverage to my employees even if their religious freedom state that they should have access to such drugs?
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoDoes the Affordable Health Care Act deny religious freedom to individuals?
I say NO, Explain to me how it does.
This is the way I see it. If the Catholic Church runs Hospitals, Orphanages, Schools, etc and hires employees, it is acting as an employer.
Now if you are an individual, Catholic or not, and you do not believe in contraceptives, then you don't use them. That is YOUR religious freedom. But if you are an EMPLOYEE and you are Catholic or not, and you believe in contraceptives, and you want insurance coverage that covers contraceptives, then that is your business and YOUR religious freedom to have that insurance. Who cares what your employer's believes are.
As for the Abortion debate, the Affordable Health Care Act will not fund Abortions. Catholic Church however defines contraceptives as abortion and it uses that an as excuse. But in reality they want to stop contraception not abortion.
So if anybody has any definition on how the Affordable Health Care Act denies religious freedom, let me know because I just do not see how a persons religious rights are denied.
