The one that uses his righteousness to prevail his point; is usually the one least righteous at start.
What do you get from this? What do you see?
@Council; This denotes an implication of a misinterpretation of the source, or the lack to produce the pros in response and is using this as an excuse too escape the question. I am 65. Now tell me what you really think.
@Shih: How true, and another aspect comes too light.
@Hjghjgh; Ah, you see the light, I can read your premise, and the picture in your mind of an Amish looking character pounding his bible in an angry yell while pointing skyward.

That you should not listen to what people say, but watch what they do. People reveal themselves through their actions.

it's a cynical statement - but it is already deductive on the part of the person stating it - they must have added some deductive reasoning to come to the opposite conclusion to what is expected one might reasonably expect that a person who argues form a good and righteous standpoint is probably good and righteous not the inverse.
however cynicism combined with intuitive or deductive reasoning can be a powerful tool in the modern world

Sounds like the person has a week argument, else he wouldn't need to bring his personal character to bear in the argument (unless it has some direct bearing on the issue being discussed/debated)
