Government Shutdown, why does anyone think its a bad thing?

The VA says that if a shutdown lasts into late Oct. the Nov. Service Connected Disability payments won't be made to Disabled Veterans.

Because it takes money out of the economy, which slows it, and hurts individual families that rely on income from government jobs

It also puts our credit rating in jeopardy, again, which hurts Wall Street. The last time, the market lost over 10% of its value, which is trillions out of retirement and pensions

Tell those that will lose needed income that it's a good thing? You're sick of hearing about it. Many reporters say they're sick of it. But if a govt. employee loses income, how does that help them? Will that help them to pay their bills?
