What has been Obama's greatest failure/accomplishment?

Feel free to answer either one.

Answer both of them and you'll be much more likely to get best answer!

And please try to be serious. I generally don't give best answers to trolls. I don't care if you're conservative or liberal, just give a good answer and you'll be a strong candidate for Best Answer. Thanks! Have a good day/night!

Update:

scrapiron, I actually agree with you on... maybe both points... I think all things considered, Nixon was the worst, because of the damage he did to the OFFICE of the President. The other Presidents may've messed up the economy or poorly managed a scandal or a war, but all that can be recovered from. Nixon's damage still lingers, because ever since him, Americans just haven't quite been able to look up to or respect the President like they did before.

As for greatest accomplishment, I give him a lot of credit for the Bin Laden assassination.... But I'd probably say his leadership on gay rights has been my favorite thing he's done. That's the one thing where I think he's actually tried to bring people together rather than to divide them.

Accomplishment.....Health care Reform. Its not perfect by any means but this is a legislation that Americans have been trying to pass and failed for over 100 years. Its a pretty bold bill too that tackles health care cost, pre existing conditions, gov buy ins, insurance exchanges, subsidies for the poor, etc...not so sure yet if it will work in theory but if it does this will be his legacy and Reps managed to attach his name on it too "Obama care" which might explain the reason for trying to stall it before its implemented instead of seeing if it works.

Failure.....Everything about Syria...From backing himself into a corner with the "red line" comment, to going through congress when he should of either just acted or not pushed for action in the first place. Then do to his in action and the lack of support from American public, it allowed Putin to out maneuver him in taking the military option off the table which pretty much assures Assad's victory. Then those rebels who we can trust, the promise of action and not backing it up is only going to radicalize them and push them towards Al Quada because what other choice do they have. Then finally acting like Putin giving Obama a way out is a victory for the administration, as if the rebels are celebrating now that the chemical weapons are gone, never mind the fact that over 100k people have been killed by conventional weapons

Source(s): And of course no Cons here wilk take an honest look at his administration. As expected everyhing is a failure to them...geez

The popular misconception regarding conservatives is that we as a whole will shoot down anything the President does. This is not true at all. If he did something good, he would get credit. Unfortuneately, due to several misleadings by him, and his administration, everything is taken with a grain of salt. I think his biggest failure is the economy, with the Benghazi scandal a close second. Blaming a video for an obvious terrorist attack on the anniversary of 9/11 was ridiculous. I think he kept the poor people poor on purpose, and hoped they voted. Now, on the flip side, there are people out there dependant on govt. assistance that do not sit home all day and play video games. He has helped the people who legitimately need it, but he has not given them the incentive, or created the amount of jobs he promised to put them back into the workforce. He has made being predident "cool" and is looked at as a rock star by many people. His biggest accomplishment in my opinion is finding Bin Laden.

The conservatives here miss the point on Obama. Ben Laden isn't HIS greatest success. It happened on his watch, and he had to approve and participate in the planning, but the odds are that it would have occurred regardless of who was parked in the oval office.

The assessment of Nixon as the worst Republican President is also off the mark. Nixon was certainly the most disgraced, but from an objective standpoint, the likely favorite in the category for worst will almost certainly prove to be G W Bush. The consequences of the catastrophe in Iraq are so enormous and long term that W is certain to receive the trophy. The current unraveling in the Middle East with dire consequences for Israel and the global economy is the DIRECT result of the decision to invade Iraq, and Bush MUST take the fall for the single greatest strategic blunder in the history of the United States.

As for Obama's single greatest achievement thus far--- clearly it was his ability to RAM through a national health insurance plan. The plan was written by the insurance industry, championed and field tested by Obama's opponent-Romney; but it was virtually Obama's sheer force of will (with backup from the Senate) that has finally dragged the country toward a rational policy resembling those of the rest of the civilized world. Obama's greatest single failure lies in the amount of time it took him to recognize and appreciate the extent of the ongoing crisis in Republican politics. His inability to realize that rational compromise with a dysfunctional opposition was no longer plausible cost him time, and left his opponents with the impression that he was weak and could be easily slapped around. It is only in his second term that he is realizing the dismal truth, and has thus concluded that the only way forward in the face of dysfunctional obstinance is to kick your opponents in the teeth.

Accomplishments: Getting troops out of Iraq and getting re-elected.

Failures: Affordable Healthcare Act, Signing the Small Arms treaty, pushing unwanted gun control, Not passing abudget properly, violating process to legally amend Federal Laws, Americans are currently more divided under this administration than they have been in 30 years, shovel ready jobs.

Obama's greatest failure has been the presidency.

If he has an accomplishment, I am not aware of it.
