The name of a British travel agency from the early 1900's?

There was a British travel agency that I used to hear about all the time, that operated in the early 1900's, but I can't remember it's name. It may still exist for all I know. But if some British person were out in a colony somewhere, perhaps India, and someone else asked them who had made their travel arrangements, there was a stock answer of, "Oh, ____ handled it." And the same name came up over and over. Does anyone know what that Company's name was?

Update:

I appreciate the response, but I don't think it is Cook's.

    Thomas Cook, perhaps?

Perhaps Pickfords, which was a moving company rather than a travel agency

Another possibility is P & O - the Peninsular and Oriental Steam navigation Company, which ran cruise and passenger ships to various destinations in Europe and the British empire.

Thomas cook and sons was the first travel agency in britain, thomas cook was born in 1808,and he conducted excursions in britain first, the first one was in 1841 when he organised a railway journey from leicester to loughborough for a group of people wanting to go to a temperance meeting. He introduced the concept of conducted tours, booking everything in one place and having people in the country you went to as advisers and to assist if you got into difficulties. he died in 1892,but the firm still operates today!
