Any Creative Halloween Costume Ideas?
This Saturday my local Petsmart is having a Halloween Costume Party for pets. So to make a long story short the pets get free toys, treats, etc. They also have little contests to pick cutest costumes and picture booths and all that fun stuff. I have looked online at Party City, Petsmart, Petco and they have cute ideas, but they are either online only or kinda of high in price. I could order online but it says it takes anywhere from 2-7 days to ship. I have seen the spray paint for dogs..... No thank you. I think thats kind of a dumb idea and it looks cruel. So does anyone have any ideas of cute costumes that I can either make myself, or do any of you make and sell them? I attatched pics of my babies so you can see the size. I have a female Dachshund/ Terrier mix and a male 13 week old Doberman. Thanks for the ideas!!

Your dogs are so cute..............I think you should dress them as an angel and a devil, just get a white pillow case and put holes in it for the angels front legs to go through and get wire, make a halo shape, wrap it in gold tinsel and attach it to her collar. Then for the devil get red material and make a larger pillow case shape and put holes in it for his legs and buy a devil horn hairband and attach it on his head. That would be so cute.

While I understand the "cute" behind the motive as well as what trinkets might be acquired, all for the sake of attracting people to the business. You realize of course this is designed for humans, not really dogs. I wouldn't do it and I doubt my Rotties would tolerate it. At 13 weeks the one dog may just want to tear off whatever is put on it? A game perhaps? That might be the case, especially anything placed on the head or neck. Dogs certainly can adjust to sweaters, rain coats, even booties, but they are dogs. Once and only once did I try. a very small wagon made to look like a Santa sleigh, hooked to a harness with a sign as if the dog had printed it. "I failed the reindeer test" No fluff, no frills, but the dog got his bag of gifts.
