Why are liberals so obsessed with Ted Cruz?

Because he's a minority. The Liberals are worried that he'll defeat their idealistic deceit ~ calling all the Republicans racists. It's much like the way they don't admit that the Republicans had a woman run for office.

Nah, he doesn't have that much influence. He just called together twenty people from the House to a secret meeting in a Mexican restaurant in DC yesterday and convinced them to vote down the House compromise proposal on the government shutdown. He IS the ideological leader of the Granola Party(Nuts and Flakes), both in the Senate and the House.

You haven't been paying attention. Even the Texas papers that endorsed him in the election are apologizing now.

I totally agree with you Who the crap is Ted Cruz, he isn't even an american. Why did the republicans let him get away with his nonsense? Most of us in Texas never heard of him until you guys let him hijack the house? I have to shake my head and wonder why.

usually the other side pays attention to vocal leaders in the other party... and I think Cruz certainly has tried to take up that role in the Senate for the more conservative members...

the TEA nuts are the ones that are obsessed with him as some sort of hero. The rest of us see him for what he truly is - a sleazy used car salesman.

If you believe in the Rules for Radicals, that would explain the obsession. I believe one of those rules deals with singling someone out, and attacking them without mercy.

He is a foreign born Republican who thinks he can become President.
