Why do you suppose God feared man working together?
Genesis 11:1-9 explains how man came together to build a city and in that city a tower that would reach the heavens. Amidst their building God feared that if man came together like this nothing would be impossible for them, so he went down and scattered them over the earth. He confused their tongues.
Why do you suppose God feared man so? If you don't think God did this out of fear, explain why you think God did this.

God didn't fear men working together. He didn't like them worshiping their own creations.

There is a theme given by God is several ways in the Bible. The theme is that you cannot obtain heaven by the efforts of Man. You can try to by building a tower, or by trying to be a perfect person, or by becoming Christian and then relying on your good works to please God with. None of that works. The only thing that will work is to trust in the perfection and propitiation of Christ. God set it up that way, and that's the only way to do it.
John 6
28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe (pisteuo- to trust in; to have confidence in) in the one he has sent.”

The verse does not say He feared what man was doing. God scattered man because he was not doing what God had told them to do, multiply and subdue the earth,so he changed there languages to force them to disperse.

That wasn't a god. That was Yahweh, he's more than a god. Think about it, the entire population of earth going up into space. They would all die. If you were in charge would you want that?

Man is not a singular noun. Plus, it's a pretty antiquated way of saying "humanity." But then, you people are all about antiquated.
