Swelling of skin around wart on foot?
This wart has been bugging me for the past few weeks and I've been using corn plasters (the ones with salicyclic acid) to try and get rid of it. But 2 days ago, it began to swell up and has made walking for me very painful and uncomfortable.
Should I stop using the plasters? What can I do to stop the swelling? I scheduled an appointment with a skin specialist on saturday but I don't think I can make it till then since I have a long commute from home to school.

Your fine that is what it is supposed to do, the medication starts an inflammatory reaction that caues the pain and kills the wart

You should see a podiatrist, not a skin specialist.
Also, you didn't read the instructions on the packet.
(before applying the plaster, scrape the surrounding skin with a clean file. Then dispose of it.)
This is all normal. The 'corn plaster' is working.
You should get a sharp, sterile blade and cut away the bulging area.
Cover with the corn plaster, and repeat in a few days.
You could have get this done in 5 minutes by a podiatrist.
Corns are our bread and butter, and we do them quick and not totally painlessly,
