The Repubs aren't interested in any kind of dialogue with the Obama Administration. Obama has invited Boehner and McConell for lunches and dinners many times - and the GOP wonks have refused. They have no intention of ever reaching any kind of deal with Obama, or any other Democrat. And the way they're performing, their poised to lose the midterm election next year, and the general election in '16. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
