Living With Horrible Asthma, Any Advice?
Okay, I am 22 years of age and I have had Asthma all my life. I've gone from doctor to doctor and when I was younger a doctor told my mother and me that I would most likely not live passed the age of Adulthood, whenever that might be. I think I proved him wrong for the most part..
See, my asthma isn't doing well really and I am going through my inhalers way to fast, I got one a few days before the new month and I am almost out of it already. I don't have insurance and I cant keep a job due to my health. I am trying to get Medicaid but apparently that will take some time.
Physically I am not in the best shape, my asthma is way to bad so I cannot exercise, even the smallest amount causes my asthma to flare up. I am overweight but not dramatically, so I am changing my diet in hopes that it'll help somewhat. I don't exactly know what else to do.. I've gone to so many doctors, they prescribe medications that don't help.. Allergy medications that don't help..
I have so many triggers for my asthma, emotional, allergy, and exercise. I cant afford the medication that they think I should be on, I am hoping once I get Medicaid if they accept me, I can get the medications needed. I however, really would like to get my asthma under control without the use of more medications because I fear becoming even more medication dependent. I am already dependent on my Rescue Inhaler.
Basically I am hoping that someone can explain how they've improved their health asthma wise.. That might work for me. There have been a lot of times where I simply just stopped being able to breathe, I have to go outside and get fresh air, bend over the porch rail and hope and pray that I can catch a breath because not even the inhaler helps then.
I.. am pretty worried and I fear that if I don't improve my health soon.. it wont matter.. If you get my drift.. I really don't want to die I kinda like living, ya know?
This is a serious question and I'd like serious answers.. It seems I never get answers when I ask question here and when I do it is either spam or trolls..
Thank you for taking the time to read this long... drawn out question.
I've actually used Singulair, my mother use to call them the pillow shaped pills because I was on so many medications that she wanted to make sure I was taking the correct drug. Now, sadly.. I stopped taking it because it stopped working. I haven't been on it for a long while though, but again.. I don't think I'll be taking it again since the prices are rather... outrageous. I don't have a job and I don't have insurance, its just not doable.

I am 70 years old and have had asthma since the age of 9. I am healthier at this time than I have ever been in my entire life. I am going to tell you something that no doctor has ever told you, so please follow up, with me, by email, for more detailed help. josephsalowitz at yahoo dot com. The reason that your asthma medications are not giving you complete relief, is that asthma is only a small part of why you are feeling sick. The major cause of your illness is TOXIC MOLD REACTIVITY, which is not relieved by asthma medicines. Most doctors are unaware that toxic mold exposure is why their asthma patients are not getting relief by using asthma medicines. Toxic mold reactivity is NOT an allergy to mold. It is a reaction to poisons called mycotoxins, which are produced, in the form of a gas, by certain molds. So, your suffering is partially asthma, and partially Reactive Airway Disease. Just like you are allergic to foods and pollens which do NOT make the people around you sick, in a similar fashion you are reacting to the mycotoxin poisons which do not make the people around you sick. Your reactivity to mycotoxins is genetic, in the same way that your asthma is genetic. When you email me, [my name is one word, not two], I will send you medical and scientific literature confirming what I have just told you, as attachments to my reply emails. Here is the way to see if mycotoxins are the reason you are so sick. Just move out of your home for one month. You will start feeling better within one week, and you will feel 90 percent better within 2 to 3 weeks. If, during that month, you return to your original home, even for 5 minutes, to pick stuff up, you will immediately feel terribly sick again. If, after a month, you feel you are cured, and stupidly return to your original home, you will feel twice as sick, as before you left that home. Recovering, when you have left your home, confirms that it is the mycotoxins produced by mold, in your home, that is the source of your suffering. Remember, this will not cure your asthma. But you will see that asthma has only been the cause of about ten percent of your suffering, and your asthma medications will give TOTAL relief from that small percentage. You can Google Toxic Mold for info. When you email me, I will reply with my phone number, so we can speak. Meanwhile, read my 2 pages of mold experiences. God Bless. http://globalindoorhealthnetwork.com/files/Salowit...
