Advice for a medical applicant, please help!!!!?
I am really interested in medicine and would love to become a doctor. It has got to the time when i need to consider what medical schools to apply to and how i could improve my chances.
My stats are 10 A* GCSE, predicted AAAA in biology (A* A2), spanish (A*) A2 maths and chemistry
biology and spanish are my strongest subjects and i am top of the year in my school (300 people in the year) however it is a state school, so i am not sure how this compares with the standard of other applicants.
I have got lots of work expirience planned (a week at St Guys in London, with the surgery team, and few days in Nuffield in oxford in pyshciatrics, and 2 weeks in a hospital in the czech republic with gap medics (maybe also some time with medical research)) I also play sport and am doing young enterprise, and i volunteer weekly in a care home
I am currently thinking of applying to
Nottingham
edinburugh
UEA
birmingham
but maybe cambridge
could people tell me what they think my chances are, where they think i should apply, and any tips on medicine or good courses
Thank-you for your help

I'd say your chances are pretty good, Just because you go to a State School doesn't mean your chances of getting in are smaller then if you came from a Private or Public school.
