Should I buy a Ipad Air or new Ipad Mini?

I have an Ipad 3rd generation. I was wondering is the New Ipad/Ipad Mini worth the money? I know the AIr I lighter, but is it really worth it?

Update:

Ok no mini...just AIr

If I were you I would admire the Air and the Mini, but keep my 3rd generation ipad. Until you can answer the question, what can I do with a Air or Mini that I cannot do with a third generation ipad? Then stick with what you have. Are they faster? Sure. Is yours slow? Nope. All of them run the latest version of ios7. The Air, Mini and ipad3 all have retina displays. It doesn't take Hercules to lift or hold in place the ipad3 either. So what its a pound and a half and the Air is a pound or less. Is a lighter weight tablet a good spend for more of the same with an asking price of $500? I certainly don't think so.

If I were you, I would wait until next year, because to be honest, there`s not really any new technology to be getting all dramatic over, its just the usual, lighter, thinner, faster. I AM going to be buying the iPad Air because I do not own an iPad of my own, all I have is a Motorola Xoom for 2012 (Its a total turtle) so that's what Im upgrading from. Just wait another year because rumours lead to a finger print scanner on the iPad Air 2 :) And, your iPad is fine, its still fast, has a nice retina display and unless the weight is really too heavy for you, then there isnt any compelling reason to upgrade.

    I hope this helped! :)

I have both and I prefer the iPad Air. I prefer the larger screen and speed. The weight is not an issue as the Air is so much lighter and thinner than the previous models

Well it depends, if you want a better resolution and better graphics quality then the iPad air is a good choice, but if your tight for money then keep your iPad

I would choose the ipad air

If you switch to the mini after using the iPad, you are likely to miss the screen size...
