Has science and philosophy begun to strip away the big questions?

I saw a great video on Youtube recently that uses modern biology and physics to hypothesize the purpose of life. I don't want to bend anyone's opinion so I'll just post the link:

1) Is this more feasible than the other religions

2) Do you find this comforting, frightening, does it not change a thing for you?

I acknowledged this perspective some time ago.

    1) Define " feasible ".

The more scientific is an idea, the more feasible it appears.

It all depends on your thinking style.

Some say that everything changes, others say that there are constant truths.

Some say that we are getting closer to the truth, others say that it's impossible to reach it.

There are some who always search for the reality, others think that everything is an illusion.

You can pick your belief, everything is a matter of perspective.

    2) I find it interesting. I've never found any idea of death to be frightening. Death should be viewed as a part of life, not the end of life. This is my opinion on death and this is why I never fear death.

First we have to know "what life is". The body, the nerve system, the brain, atoms, molecules, electrical signals, etc. that is not "life", that is "matter." Because the speaker miss identifying the "self" " with matter, all his concept is wrong. This universe is composed by 5 great elements: earth, fire, water, air and ether. And the body is also have the same composition. But as long there is not the vital force acting in the body, the body is just a useless dead matter. Just like a car. If there is not driver, the car is useless death matter.

4:3 aspect ratio, so passee :) Picking my nose? I thought my webcam was off, who saw me? :)

    1) I used to be religious, then became the proverbial "prodigal son", rebelled, did my own thing. A hunger erupted within me, a desire to return... Return to what? Religious rituals? ... No. Return to my Creator. Who is that? What does it mean to be a creation? How did the creative process manifest to an observer with human senses trying to comprehend the process from within the box? But I'm skipping ahead - call to return, to my Creator, and so I began a new journey, towards Him, yes, there is some religion involved, but, now there is spirituality. In short (if not too late per my evident rambling) - is the video in line with my religion? Unsure, but, within my newfound spirituality, my religion as I now understand should have no conflict with the video's tenets.

    2) I find it interesting. Here is my ultimate viewpoint - above all science and philosophy, God created everything, period. How did He do it, towards what end, what does it all mean, how do we fit in, etc... all these questions are immaterial details to the aforementioned ultimate viewpoint. The aforementioned video suggests linking the details, it does not negate my ultimate view, hence, I find it interesting. I would further add to the video - the pattern of existence of all that was, is, and shall be, was encoded within the very matrix of our space-time at the moment of its eruption. Intelligence was encoded, as we are its evident proof - okay, we may do stupid things, point is, compared to inanimate objects, hey, we're sort of intelligent, nay? :) - in other words, as effect without cause does not exist, neither does any intelligence without prior intelligence follow (meaning, our Universe, the "eruption of space-time and the consequences" were already encoded, and, were of inteligent design). But now we quibble, did a lightning bolt split some DNA to cause emergence of new species, did Darwin's Tree sprout a branch because a comet posited some additional molecules, did... and yet, here we are missing that aforementioned ultimate point - whatever, the final point is, God did it all, even if we observed it our way and made our conclusions within natural understanding... What I'm trying to say is - no, the video does nothing to me really. In fact, consider a little tidbit of the fact displacement does not exist, as in, all displacement through time and space is a type of construct, our reality is a perpetual singularity, or so does particle entanglement (Einstein's "spooky action") suggest. So, not only is our infinitely large Universe huge, but, every single point in all its time and space is the very same point - this is fact, in a manner of speaking, and yet, here we are knowing this, and, unable to wrap our heads around it. What blows my mind? Not the video, rather, God letting slip a joke every now and then to confound us via fantastic revelation via science only to confound the worldly wise, and awestruck the simple of the world. I also appreciate hearing the birds chirp during early morning stroll on a crisp autumn day, sometimes having my mind blown with the prospect infinity is just a misunderstood variation upon a plain singularity,

Philosophy only strips away delusion-confusion when it is based on creating value by providing access to good answers for anyone. Most western philosophy is so focused on distinctions that it fails that test.

Science doesn't strip away the big questions. It opens more questions.

Discovering that we are the universe is just that - discovering who we are. What is the purpose of us being is another thing. And most likely there is no purpose. But there is some poetic beauty about life that's worth being contemplated.
