Walmart sold me ammo without asking for id?!?
So i am 18 still have a teen appearance and i stopped by walmart today to get shotgun ammo and ammo for my carbine which is 9mm. I buy 2 boxes of 12 gauge then i see 9mm and i decide to ask to buy it so they get it and of course the manager has to walk me to the counter once im there i have my id ready but i was so surprised they didnt even ask me for id and i got away with handgun ammunition. Do they even care? By the way this was in CA.

You do realize you committed a crime? Braggin' online that you comitted a crime is not very smart........ unless going to jail and spending big $$ on a lawyer sounds like a good time.
All that clerk has to do is 'remember' he mistakenly sold 9mm to a kid - they go back on the receipts and if the local cops are not too busy they can go bust you. You are still an underaged person in posession of pistol ammunition.
Or maybe he calls the cops and between the security camera recording inside they watch you go out the door and catch the plate number on your car with the parking lot camera? Go into a WalMart and count the black squares in the ceiling that hold the cameras - most have at least 90, some have up to 200.
Except now you been bragging online. All it takes is any cop from CA to see this and they can track your isp to your home and make an 'educated guess' at what 18 year old that lives at that address has two boxes of pistol ammo. Maybe they dont go knockng - they just pull you over later on today, or this weekend and shake down your car. Maybe you have worse stuff in your car....... weed?
Walmart can email the camera footage and receipt scan to the cops. That way they are 'covered' in case you go shoot up a school or something else stoopid with the ammo. So - between the recipts, the camera recordings, and your post here - tracking you down could take ........ about 5 mintues.
There are some things in life you should keep to yourself. This is one of them.

I would suggest you that a firearm course from a certified firearms instructor and learn about shooting the right, and safe way, at the least a hunters safety course. That being said, you can purchase a long gun at any place they sell firearms, you can also purchase a sidearm from a private party. Missouri State law reads: "It is unlawful to knowingly sell, lease, loan, give away or deliver any firearm to a person who is not eighteen years old without the consent of the custodial parent or guardian." Check out the laws in this link: @ SawFish. Where do you get this bogus information that you pass on for truth? If you don't know the law you should not even be giving advice to people asking an intelligent question. A lawful person does not have to be 23 years old to apply for a conceal permit, only 21 years of age. There is no waiting period in Missouri to receive a firearm after you purchase it, in fact all but the few liberal gun control bigots states there is no waiting period. The background check only takes minutes not days, someone has been feeding you a lot of BS if you really believe what you wrote.

Goes to show that all the things we have laws to prohibit, don't end up in tragedy. Glad you got some ammo. We have laws prohibiting purchase of spray paint by underage persons, too. Sure, there are young taggers and sniffers. But there are a lot more young people who just want to paint a bicycle or lawnmower or model plane.
I'm 70 years old, and well-weathered, but i have been allowed to purchase beer and wine without filling out any docs.

I'm sorry, did you have higher expectations for Walmart? Because, maybe you're new to planet Earth, but it's Walmart.
And if you know your too young to purchase handgun ammo, why did you try to buy it anyway?? You even said you thought they would ID you! So you clearly thought you could get away with it, you did, and now you're complaining?? Sounds like you just be trolling...

It was part of Eric Holder's new "ammo walking scheme". You are being watched to see if you take the ammo to Mexico. You could still try to ditch the ammo before you are nabbed.
