If I am allergic to percocet, can I still take vicodin?

I have been taking prescribed pain killers from my doctor. He recently switched me temporarily to Percocet, which seems to make my face all itchy. If you are having an allergic reaction to percocet, is it normal NOT to have a reaction to Vicodin? Please let me know if you have the answer. Thank you so much!

whenever i take any type of pain pill i get itchy as **** all over, i dont know why. pain pills just arent for everyone. i think most of them have the same ingredients in them though, just different amounts. i say just toke on some medical mary jane, its natural and guaranteed to not make you itchy. problem solved (:
