Corporations exist to make a profit for the shareholders. They should not be giving money away to anyone. That's not their money. It belongs to the owner of the business, the shareholders.

I'm pretty sure Lockheed and Caterpillar can support what causes they like.

And what's wrong with punishing children for the actions of adults? Christians expect you to accept guilt for Original Sin....something that even if it REALLY happened....occurred thousands of years before any of us were born.

Way to misconstrue the news article. It's not punishing kids for the actions of adults. It's refusing to donate to a group which chooses to discriminate. See the difference there? It wouldn't be punishing dogs if they refused to support an animal rescue operation whose management had a similar policy as BSA. BSA has the option of finding a replacement source of funding. Or not. That's how it works.

Why punish children at all. They're not anyone's property nor even asked to be born. They get all the same rights we do by nature. Adults are the ones who caused all the world's problems so the idea children are some how logically impaired is absurd.

There should have never have been any homophobia in the first place. That's how this mess started.

The religious justification for homophobia are based purely in religious speculation.

THAT'S what's punishing the children here.

On those grounds, and in this context, hell yes. I don't generally approve of the things Lockheed does, but in this case, good for them.

  • They are not "punishing" children. They are protecting them from being recruited by greedy adult anti-gay activists into the evil anti-gay lifestyle. So what they are doing is 100% right and moral and I support it.
